About Us
The idea for The Board Loon was born September of 2018 while in the car on the way back home from a weekend up North.
After a year of researching, and figuring out how to make our vision come to life, I’m pleased to say it’s here, and we are ready.
We look forward to working with you and teaching you the craft behind it all!

Kelsey
Owner & Operator
My name is Kelsey and I am the face behind The Board Loon. I was born & raised in Minnesota (hence the Loon, our state bird).
We just recently we moved 5 miles from our home in Stillwater, Minnesota, across the river into the lovely state of Wisconsin,
officially making me a cheese head!
I started making boards June of 2016 for fun. I have always loved entertaining and being creative and crafty, so after I made my first board I was instantly hooked. I was able to create a beautiful piece of artwork, reduce my anxiety and in turn, enjoy it with my friends and family.
Just within the last year or so I started posting my boards on Instagram & Facebook and instantly had people inquiring about them for purchase.
Most of 2019 was spent planning and researching the business/legal side of things and finally I can say, I'm ready to introduce:
